This book is so refreshing & is full of great reminders for struggling artists/people.

I've been feeling all 'meh' this year... And sometimes worse... And I'm an artist so I made a hoodie that expresses all that. And I happened to be wearing it cause it was one of those days... when YAHFN came! And this little friend of a book is the perfect most amazing antidote to those feelings of lonely lostness and aloneness in all the swirling uncertainty and I just love it. So I hope this picture captures a tiny bit of the amazing ness that is happening as I read Adams book and bask in the love and wonder and delight of it all being okay even in the mess. Thank you so so so much for creating this Adam!!!

I got this book because my 6-month job search honestly completely destroyed my self esteem. This book had really helped me to refocus and acknowledge that life is hard and sometimes things don’t go as planned but that doesn’t make me less of a person. I’m a huge fan of Adam and I’m really glad I got this book. My first purchase was a planner (the only planner I’ve used for more than 2 months btw!) and this book defo won’t be my last ! :) <3

I appreciate that Kurtz has followed his creative vision his way. One thing I like about both books is that I feel like a friend is talking to me, saying the things a friend needs to say, that I need to hear, and most of all, being vulnerable and so making me feel a little less vulnerable, if that makes sense. On the inside front cover is written: "Even small changes help us transform as life unfolds, whether you’re chasing your dreams or trying to get out of bed. You are here but you’re not alone." Creating can be a lonely place; Kurtz makes it less so.

Loved it. He talks to you like a friend.

This book is just what I didn't know I needed. It's funny and kind and deeply human and relatable. This isn't empty platitudes and "pull yourself up by your bootstraps," it's deeply empathetic and believes that we all deserve to be believed in. Adam is wise, empathetic, and the kind of friend we all want. Now we can have it, in this li'l pocket-sized gem.

This book was everything that I needed to hear in a way that wasn't pushy or annoying or preachy. Adam is real, honest, hilarious, and brilliant. I love his work, and I have purchased 3 copies of YAHFN in the last three months because I need everyone else in my life to read it too.

I bought his book “things are what you make of them” a few years ago and have read it over and over again. I’ve also bought it for several friends and family members who I thought would benefit from the amazing advice and encouragement. So I bought 2 copies of this new book with the same plan to be inspired and spread that encouragement to others. So excited to read this book a thousand times. Thank you Adam for speaking right to my creative soul and for helping me to believe in myself and my art. ❤️

I bought this book almost on a whim, after seeing one of Adam's tea towels at a locally owned shop. Although I'm not done reading it yet, I will say that so far it is perfect. A perfect balance between typed pages and artistic pages. The perfect balance between wit and wisdom, and the perfect amount of honesty without sounding cheesy. Some of Adam's handwritten sentiments hit you in your gut, and really challenge you to be the most unique and genuine version of yourself. I will be lending my copy of the book to my sister, and purchasing another copy for a friend!

I love this book. As someone who has somehow found themselves reading a lot of things in the self help genre these past two years, this is a book that feels like my redemption. It is practical, and direct, and honest and a lot of things that I didn't know I needed to hear. I love it so much, I also bought it as a gift for my best friend because of how many times I found myself thinking "I bet she would like to read this too." She loved it at first sight of the mailing envelope.

I absolutely love this book and it came into my life at exactly the right time. I have found it incredibly helpful and bought another one for a friend who is having a tough time.

I really hope “Team Don’t Kill Yourself” tshirts become a reality.

Love this book. I've read it multiple times, and bought this one for a gift.

This book was an eye-opener to say the least. It certainly puts so many mundane things that humans worry about, into a much larger prospective.

this book came at the perfect time. i moved to a new city and a bunch of life changing things happened so i’ve been trying to cope and just been depressed as a result. sometimes hearing inspirational shit is all i need to switch things around in my brainhole. following adamjk on instagram has been that for me over time and this book is a tangible kick in the rear to my old self at this point, who is undoubtedly part of my new self. so thank you.

I opened the book, read the intro, and started sobbing. This is everything I wish I had someone tell me. Obviously everyone’s experience is different, but reading this book felt like an older friend looking out for me and telling me what I need to hear. I think this book would be a GREAT gift for any person feeling just a bit (or a lot) lost. Idk I’m not that good at writing these review things, but I’m so glad Adam JK came into my life through this book and the feelings and thoughts I’ve had from JUST the intro is worth the $16 price tag.

I love how Adam keeps it real. It’s a punch in the gut sometimes, but his constant reminders that hey… we’ve made it this far are like a light at the end of the tunnel.
